Small company security system detects forced entries at workplaces
Scotland’s ‘ned’ phenomenon is being blamed for anti-social behaviour costing businesses. Half of Scottish business owners believe such behaviour increased in the past year, with the same number partly blaming the recession. David Lonsdale, assistant director of CBI Scotland, said: “Crime against business is not victimless crime. It can affect the sustainability of firms, and hamper their ability to service customers and hold back plans to invest and grow.” The Scottish Government pledged to divert resources in tackling anti-social behaviour.
