A man has appeared in court over an alleged assault with intent to rob at a Finstown shop. Christopher Baird of Finstown, appeared at Kirkwall Sheriff Court on petition. The accused made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody. He is expected to appear in court again next week. The incident happened at Baikie's Stores on Saturday evening (February 18, 2012) in Orkney.
